SUV crashes into Lexington home, driver runs from scene

Lexington Police are looking for the driver of an SUV they say ran over a gas meter and crashed into the corner of a home before running from the scene on Highlawn Avenue on Sunday.

Take a look at this...the fire department says the driver of an s-u-v ran over a gas meter and into the corner of a house.

This happened shortly after noon in the 14-hundred block of highlawn avenue.

Firefighters say people were home at the time, but managed to get out safely.

Lexington police say the driver ran from the scene...they're looking for them.

Meantime, firefighters had to shore-up the walls of the home
