Take a look at this...the fire department says the driver of an s-u-v ran over a gas meter and into the corner of a house.

This happened shortly after noon in the 14-hundred block of highlawn avenue.

Firefighters say people were home at the time, but managed to get out safely.

Lexington police say the driver ran from the scene...they're looking for them.

Meantime, firefighters had to shore-up the walls of the home before they could remove the s-u-v.
