Hamilton County School Reopening

Hamilton County continues discussing how to reopen schools this fall... here is the latest.

Happening this week in hamilton county, a school reopening task force is trying to finalize a reopening plan for the fall.

After a zoom panel discussion yesterday, the task force released a possible four phase reentry approach.

The phases are determined by active coronavirus cases.

The hamilton county school district says they're currently in phase 1, which means all schools are closed.

Phase 2 will consist of reduced days on campus.

Phase 3 is a hybrid learning phase with both online and on campus learning.

And phase four means all schools are open.

"we've got principals and teachers from all levels, elementary, middle and high school.

We've got doctors and healthcare professionals on our committee so uh, we felt like we have a lot of, we reacjed out to a lot of individuals in particular areas of expertise to put this plan together."

They'll vote on the plan, july second.
