Man dies at Stillwater Reservoir
A Rome man died after his boat sank in Stillwater Reservoir Wednesday.

Stillwater reservoir in northern herkimer county.

Police tell us a boat was driving through an area of the reservoir and came upon debris strewn about in the water and found a body... and another person in the water who suffered from hypothermia floating .

The man who died has now been identified.

Town of webb police say it is 69 year old jerry jennings of rome.

His brother, 67- year-old calvin jennings of canajoharie was rushed to lewis county general hospital to be treated for hypothermia.

Both men were wearing life jackets.

It's estimated they were in the water for at least two hours before they were found by another boater who stopped after coming across a large amount of debris.

Calvin says the boat started to sink while they were onboard and quickly went under.

Police confirm the sinking, although it's unclear what (caused( the boat to go under.

Divers are back in the water today searching for the boat.

They searched last night from five pm on but it was too dark to locate anything.
