ELEPHANT NAMED RUTH PICKING WOOD, RUTH EATING WOOD STORY: A 39-year-old African elephant Ruth got caught on camera while breaking and crunching wood at Milwaukee County Zoo's Adventure Africa exhibit on May 1.

The elephant that weighs about 10,300 pounds also enjoys taking baths in her watering hole and then throwing mud and dirt on herself.
