Community members are making their mark by adding a personal touch to the 'black lives matter' mural outside of the federal courthouse in eugene.
Today, nearly 50 people returned to the mural and added colorful handprints on the large yellow lettering.
The mural, which was approved by the city, was painted on friday.*but that same night -- a car vandalized it by leaving skid marks all over.
Participants say their work represents unity and togetherness.
We want to show that it doesn't matter what happens.
We are still resilient and bringing beauty to this city.
We are here to support each other because we deserve this way of living.
The driver who made the tire marks was found by eugene police -- but there's still no word on whats next in the investigation.
As for the mural-- participants say they plan on adding rainbow colors representing
