Hunter, tonight i asked chief reed if he had something to say to the protesters who were not agitators and his response ... "it's unfortunate."

But he did tell councilmen what he would've done differently.

Tonight police chief steve reed addressed all questions from city councilmembers after they told him they've received hundreds of emails from residents about what happened.

Bitewhen asked what he would 3 do differently... he says he'd work with protest organizers so that they could've assisted them on the bridge.

Bitesomething he says is in the works since it has come up is body cameras.

He's been looking into this for months.

Bite collectively they agreed there's still some work to do.

Bite 3 there were 40 public comment letters read at tonight's meeting and majority were about the police.reed says there will be a full debriefing once the department has had a chance to review everything from the weekend protests.
