In just 5 hours, the space and rocket center here in huntsville will open its doors for the first time in 2 months!

Waay31s sierra phillips is live there now with what changes guests can expect this morning?

The noticeable changes will start right when guests walk in!

Instead of entering at the main building, everyone will now use the entrance at the davidson center.

All staff members will have their temperature checked and will be wearing masks.

Guests will be encouraged to wear them too.

Only 250 people will be allowed at the center at one time which is a big difference from their typical crowds.

They'll be selling tickets for staggered entry times.

The museum director told us a lot of effort has gone into this re-opening.

This is a place where you're supposed to be able to relax and learn something and so a lot of planning has gone into how to make that work.

The theater and planetarium are closed until later phases of reopening and exhibits that involve a lot of touching will stay closed.

Today is open to members only starting at 10am.
