Honoring Veterans During a Pandemic

Coronavirus concerns didn't stop families from finding ways to honor, remember, and respect fallen military members

In limbo... even many communities were forced to cancel their memorial day services because of concerns over coronavirus.

That didn't stop families from finding ways to honor our war dead.

Kimt news 3's isabella basco joins us with a look at some of those special memorials.

At oakwood cemetery... families made the trek to lie flowers... leave american flags and pay their respects to their veterans.

They tell me all of the lessons they learned from their loved ones and how they hope to apply it to today's turbulent times.

Gene enos is a captain with the civil air patrol who believes there are lessons we must learn from those who served.

"the veterans that i know... they are tough, they have done the call for duty when a lot of us haven't."

This holiday is about honoring those who sacrificed everything.
