P-g-and-e announced the final voting results of its plan for reorganization... brandon benitez joins us in studio with more on those results... alan, camp fire survivors are one step closer to putting this lawsuit against the utility company behind them... p-g-and-e's chapter 11 bankruptcy plan gave camp fire survivors the option to vote on a 13-point-five billion settlement... despite some survivors saying the settlement wasn't enough -- p-g-and-e says the final vote ended with more than 85-percent voting yes on the plan... it was no small sample size.
250- thousand parties were able to vote on this settlement... the compensation is divied up -- half in the form of cash and the other half in the form of p-g-and-e stocks... some survivors shared concerns with the value in owning shares -- but the support was overwhelming in favor of accepting the settlement proposal... the results were filed with the u.s. bankruptcy court today... p-g-and-e's confirmation hearing for its chapter 11 reorganization is scheduled for next wednesday, may 27th... p-g-and-e says these results will help the company stay on track to getting its plan confirmed by their june 30th deadline... you can go on action news now dot com to find a link to those voting results... president
