Dixie Bee 5th-graders take part in drive-thru graduation

Principal Mika Cassel and 5th-grade teachers handed out candy and words of praise on Thursday afternoon.

To be voted on by the board of trustees.

5th graders.... at "dixie bee elementary school... took part in a "drive thru graduation" of sorts.

The students' parents drove through the parking lot of "agape church."

That's as the kids waved to their teachers.

Each child got a gift... a certificate.... and their picture taken.

Organizers say it's a small way to say great job... and good luck in middle school.

..."we just felt really bad that the kids didn't get to experience a lot of the end of the year things like mixers, field trips, so we wanted to do something special for them and show them we really love them and we wish them the best as they move onto middle school..."
