Campgrounds across the state are usually full on memorial day weekend but it will be empty here at chester woods park?

And other minnesota campgrounds.

While dispersed camping is available campgrounds are still closed until june 1st.

Get your camping gear ready because state park campgrounds reopen friday.

Will minnesotans be heading out of state to pull up their campers?

A woman in rochester told me that although camping is typically her annual tradition?

She'd rather just stay home than go to iowa to camp this weekend.

Other years, we camp every memorial weekend so if the campground would have been open, we would have gone there's one exception to minnesota's no camping rule... camping is allowed on state forest land if you're at least one mile outside of designated campsites.
