Experts say the retail and auto sales going on now are "once in a lifetime"

Most businesses are suffering through the pandemic, experts are saying retailers are using big sales as a way to cope with revenue loss.

Kezi 9 news reporter emma withrow spoke with consumer experts and auto sales experts to fill you in on how to get the biggest bang for your buck.

Ivan drury: "the incentives out there are rather incredible, once in a life time definitely describes some of those deals that are being offered."

And experts tell me that those incentives come in all forms.... some include great online sales.

Macys will give you an extra 25 percent off their clerance price.

Ulta is offering 20 percent discoutns and j-crew is offering an additional 60 off sale items. "if you look at jcrew i find that interesting, they just filed for bank ruptcy, not that they're going to be shutting down but rather restructuring debt, and you see some pretty significant discounts with them as well."

Emma: experts tell me even when stores do open again, shoppers might not want to go into physical locations & either because of lingering fears of infection or as a result of the economic impacts of the pandemic.

Others amazing discounts include auto deals.

Ivan durary an auto sales expert for the car buying site edmunds dot com says these deals are not to be missed.

"0% apr for 84 months, deffered payments for 3 months, on top of they make payments for you for 3 months, so if you're in the right position i would say now is definitley the right time to start shopping."

Bottom line: a sour season for retailers... could mean an extra sweet deal for you and your family.
