Herkimer College named host institution for NJCAA softball tournament

Tournaments will take place at Carrier Park in Syracuse with Herkimer as the host team.

In minnesota - the junior college national softball tournament is heading to the empire state with the herkimer generals right at the center of it.

The national junior college athletics association announced that beginning next year - the national championships will be held at carrier park in syracuse and herkimer college has been named as the host institution for the event.

The tournament has been hosted in rochester, minnesota for the past 15 years...last being held in new york in 2005.

The generals will host the event for at least the next three years - beginning in 2021 and going through 2023.

Last year - the generals went 48-8 - making it all the way to the national title series in rochester, minnesota where they finished as national runner-up to rock valley
