A local sheriff's office says the need for reserve deputies hasn't gone away during the pandemic.
The vigo county sheriff's office recently posted on social media... it would be extending its application process for reserve deputies.
Folks who are interested now have until may 15th to apply.
Earlier today we spoke with vigo county sheriff john plasse... he says the coronavirus has many sheltering in place... but the need for good deputies is constant.
"we want to make sure ever since covid 19, all the restrictions and things.
People didn't have time to put the applications in.
We've kind of extended the deadline to get some qualified people to apply and help us serve the community."
