Naturalists are still reminding people to stay six feet apart.

Daybreak new on daybreak?

As minnesota governor tim walz starts to relax some of the rules, we're learning there are still people pushing the boundaries.

Kimt news 3's madelyn watkins joins us now to explain why there still needs to be enforcement for those not playing it safe.

Brooke and tyler.

The weather is slowly getting nicer.

And that's drawing many of us outdoors.

As we told yo?

Governor tim walz expanded outdoor activies.

Now you can golf or fish again, but you still need to social distance.

The minnesota department of natural resources is actually seeing a growing number of people hanging out at parks and trails across the state.

In fact, over the weekend, white water state park saw over two thousand cars.

Kim pleticha with the minnesota dnr tells me that's more people than they see on the fourth of july.

She says park naturalists are going out and reminding people to stay at least six feet from each other.

And that's especially important as more people are out on the trails.

Pleticha really wants to emphazise that this in fact is a*stay at hom* order.

She asks that you don't travel too far "we have to use our good judgement and our common sense in determining how close close to home is.

But certainly, don't drive for long distances to recreate."

Pleticha says if you get to a park and see the parking lot full, turn around and go somewhere else.

She says you'll have a better experience while ultimately keeping you and others safe.
