WTVA’s new special “Hometown Heroes” recognizes people who are going above and beyond to help others.

Lend a helping hand to those in need.we want to salute some of those people with a new segment called wtva's hometown heroesour first hero is in tishomingo county.

26 year old trevor hall is using his local business to feed the community's most vulnerable populations.

Hall bought the chevron gas station on highway 25 in february.in the wake of tuesday's tornado, hall and his sister britney started using the pizzeria inside the gas station to make extra pizza and sandwiches.they donate the fresh food to the employees of local grocery stores in the area.they also offer free biscuits and coffee for truck drivers passing through.hall says it's all an effort to keep the community on its feet during hard times.

" we donated to our local grocery stores, dollar general, we also donated to tishomingo for the tornado, we dont count.

Its not about numbers, its just about helping people..."

Butted to " he has the biggest heart ever, its all about everybody else and not him, he's not selfish.

He loves to help..."

Hall is also planning an easter basket giveaway.kids can drop their names in a box at the front of the store.they will select one boy and one girl winner to receive the baskets in two weeks.
