Due to the impact on life from the coronavirus, Eight Days of Hope is feeding the needy in Tupelo who aren't able to feed themselves.

Live outside their headquarters as they get set to deliver more food to the community.

As you can see behind me... cars are lining up to help deliver bags of food to people who are in need... these drivers plan to take meals and leave them on the porches of people in tupelo... it all started earlier this weeks as they have made thousands of meals... ."

All of our feeding equipment is based here in tupelo.

We have local cooks so we didn't ask anyone to travel from new york or texas."

Steve tybor is the c-e-o of eight days of hope and says the community is in desperate need of assistance... he said so many are left unemployed due to the coronavirus, he wants to help provide those next meals... the relief agency teamed up with the american family association... walker wildmon - american family association vice president of operations "this is actually humbling for me because food is something we often take for granted and most of us don't struggle with finding meals.

During times like this people are just struggling to eat dinner and lunch."

The two organizations met with the idea on sunday and put it in place in just a couple of days.... "we are all about ideas with how we can love and serve the broken hearted and right now a lot of people have lost jobs, there income has been affected or some-people are working long hours at the hospital."

You can request to be delivered both a lunch and a dinner by drivers who leave it on your doorstep... eight days of hope plans to keep going on until april the 7th... it will then be reevaluated if it will be extended... "it is all about serving people.

When you see the need serve it.
