New information -- heavy rain and poor weather conditions shut down a a huntsville hospital specimen collection drive-thru today.
But - the hospital's flu and fever clinic off of governor's drive is still open.

Hospital employees are still here in this down pour.
I saw several cars pull up to this fever and flu clinic, park, and go inside for further examination, even after the drive -thru clinic closed.
It'll be about an hour before we know how many people used the drive thru option.
The huntsville hospital system is operating several fever and flu clinics - so that people with flu or coronavirus aren't getting anyone else sick in hospitals and waiting rooms. this is a look at the clinic at john hunt park off of airport road before it closed today.
People were screened by nurses and doctors.
In total - there were 400 test kits available.
We don't know how may were used yet - but we do know nurses took throat and nasal swabs.
To use this clinic - you had to have a doctor note and symptoms. the hospital said that's to avoid long wait lines and unnecessary testing for people without any symptoms. huntsville hospital told me they don't plan on having any of these fever and flu clinics open during the weekend.

Right now - huntsville hospital is working on flu and fever clinic locations for monday but nothing has been set yet.
