The university announced all classes will move online starting monday.

As students prepare to learn through a computer screen..

Students from one broadcasting class found it a little challenging to stay away from their new studio.

But as spring break draws to a close..

Broadcast students will begin learning through a computer screen and not on set.

Luckily we were able to lay a foundation for the better part of the semester where we were here on campus."

Department head terry likes said the television studio is in a much more convenient place for the students.

They produce a newscast twice a week on wednesdays and thursdays.

It airs on 4 pm on mstv.

But how can a class that demands interaction like this possibly move online?

((sot)) "so now it's going to be more individual projects that they can shoot with their phones off campus, submit the work to the professors for critiques.

So that's how we're adjusting to doing it online."

Instructional technology specialist thomas la foe said they have new laptops and equipment procedures to help students and faculty adjust to online classes.

((sot)) "it maybe like a lee appointment basis, so that they can come in and record if they need to buy without making sure that we're not getting the groups too large because of the covid 19."

Thomas la foe-instructional technology specialist the staff at the digital media center say it has resources available for students looking online help or equipment help.
