We will keep a close watch.

This morning -- huntsville hospital will open a flu and fever clinic to provide testing for potential coronavirus patients.

The clinic is located be on governors drive across from the hospital.

It's open monday through friday from nine a-m to five p-m.

Waay 31's rodneya ross joins us live near the clinic on governors drive.

Rodneya, what do we know about how the clinic will operate?

Anyone wanting to visit the clinic will first drive up and a worker will come to the car with registration information.

Once the form is filled out -- the patient will remain in their car until they receive a call to come inside.

The clinic is for anyone age six and older showing signs of a respiratory illnesses such as the flu, strep throat, or potential exposure to coronavirus.

Patients will only be tested for coronavirus if their medical exam shows they have the right symptoms -- not everyone will be tested.

The c-e-o of huntsville hospital tells us they are keeping a daily bed count at all of their hospitals -- and trying to allocate resources where they are needed the most.

David spillers, huntsville hospital ceo "we're looking at available beds.

We are looking at available ventilators.

We're trying to plan for the worse, but pray for the best.

We will move resources to among our facilities as needed across north alabama where there is the most significant need.

We're looking at plans to move patients to move patients to huntsville main as needed that's where the most critically ill need to be."

Right now the c-e-o says there are no plans to move any patients.

But staff will keep evaluating.

As for the clinic -- each patient must go inside by themselves unless they're under 18 or an elderly person who needs help.

Each patient will also need a photo i-d, insurance card, and cell phone.

No money will be collected on site and services will be billed to your insurance.
