Trump says he thinks a deal between Israel and the Palestinians 'will happen'

Trump was speaking to reporters during the G7 summit of wealthy nation leaders.

Trump added that after many years and decades, he believed people are 'tired of fighting' and hinted that the world might see what the deal is before the Israeli elections.

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, is the main architect of a proposed $50 billion economic development plan for the Palestinians, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon that is designed to create peace in the region.

The U.S. president added that he thought an agreement will be reached.
