Marijuana Stocks Trade Higher Than Alcohol And Tobacco Despite Not Being Able To Operate In US

Markets Insider reports that marijuana stocks are being valued much higher than similar stocks in the tech, alcohol, and tobacco sectors.

US-listed companies like Aurora Cannabis and Canopy Growth command valuations as high as $20 billion.

The market is seemingly unconcerned that the companies can't operate in the US until federal legislation is passed to legalize marijuana consumption and while the majority of Americans now favor legalization, Republicans have been strongly opposed to it.
