Public angry with Modi government's governance model: Mayawati
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav announced their tie-up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the media, Mayawati said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) policy were not beneficial for the people of Uttar Pradesh.
People are angry with BJP and Uttar Pradesh will play a crucial role in stopping the BJP from coming in the Centre.
The two parties are reuniting after 26 years to take on the BJP which won 71 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in 2014.
The Congress is not part of the alliance, but Mayawati said that they will not field candidates in Amethi and Rae Bareli, represented by Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi respectively.
