????Last year Walmart.com rolled out its free two-day shipping on all orders over $35...this year its getting a much anticipated facelift.????Set to arrive in May, the retail giant is hoping its new website will build a deeper emotional connection to its customer base both on and offline.
????Personalized features will make it easier for customers to reorder quick items like groceries and household products, check the status of orders, check out services at nearby stores and discover products that are trending locally.
????According to Business Insider, the retailer’s e-commerce sales fell from 50% to 23% growth in the previous quarter over the holidays.
????Their hope is that the website redesign will boost sales to reach its target of 40% online sales growth for the fiscal year of 2019.????The design comes as Walmart expands both its online grocery service to 1,000 additional stores and its Mobile Express Scan & Go, which allows shoppers to scan and pay for items with their smartphones.????It’s a new era and Walmart is giving competitors a run for their money.
