Unionism’s ‘project fear’ tactics are so self-defeating that Givan could be its last First Minister

The narrative for unionism this week should have been dominated by making progress on the Northern Ireland Protocol. Yes, these are just proposals and the business community wants more clarity, but from a starting point of ‘this can’t be negotiated’, unionism got itself a considerable win — and one which discomfited all those rooting for a much harder line from the EU.
