Appeal After Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Collision in Ackworth

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Ackworth this morning (Tuesday, 3 June) which resulted in a pedestrian suffering serious injuries.

Officers were called at 9:24am to a report of a collision involving a red Hyundai i10 and a pedestrian on Barnsley Road, Ackworth, near the BP petrol station.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital where her injuries are described as potentially life-threatening.
