Assault, Plymouth Hoe

Police were called to The Hoe waterfront in Plymouth shortly after 5.45pm on Thursday 28 April following reports of a fight involving a weapon.

One person was treated for injuries to his hand and a male in his late teens was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He remains in custody at this time awaiting questioning by detectives.

Police remain at the scene while searches are ongoing for a discarded weapon.

Officers would like to thank the public for their patience and support at this time and are working to reopen Hoe Road as soon as possible.
