Pedestrian injured in Torquay collision

At approximately 16:25 hours on Sunday 27^th September 2020, Emergency Services were notified of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a silver Ford Fiesta on Hele Road, Torquay.


A pedestrian has been struck in the road and was assisted by South West Ambulance Service. The driver of the vehicle sustained no injuries, however the pedestrian sustained serious injuries. The pedestrian was conveyed to Torbay Hospital.


A single partial lane closure remained in place for approximately 3 and a half hours. This was in order to allow for an examination of the collision scene and for the vehicle to be recovered.


Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward quoting 0644 27^th September 2020.
