Serious collision , A30 Victoria, Cornwall

Police have today named a 79-year-old woman who has died following a two vehicle collision.

Police were notified at around 1.13pm on Wednesday 2 September of a road traffic collision on the Eastbound carriageway of the A30 between Victoria and Innis Downs, Cornwall.

The driver of the Ford Transit, a 64-year-old man from Wales, was uninjured.

79-year-old local woman, Iris Udy, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital. Police has since been informed that she sadly passed away in hospital in the early hours of the 12 September.

Officers from the Alliance’s Roads Policing Team attended the scene and commenced an investigation of the scene with officers working to establish the cause of the collision.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and may also have Dash Cam.
