RTC near St Mellion on 31st August

At approximately 11:20hrs, on Monday 31st August 2020, Police were notified of a motorcycle vs car collision at Viverdon Down Roundabout, St Mellion, in East Cornwall.

The incident involved a 47-year-old man who was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction. The casualty suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Local Police Officers, Operations Department Officers and Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched an investigation.

Police are requesting that anybody with any information and/or dash camera footage are to please come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene, by phoning 101 and quoting Police Incident Number 279 of 31/08/2020.
