Serious Injury Collision Plymouth

At 08:43 police were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrian.

The vehicle a red Vauxhall Astra was turning into Montpelier Road from Beacon Park Road when it struck a pedestrian crossing the road.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Derriford Hospital for onward treatment to Derriford Hospital.

The male pedestrian is 87yrs old from a local address.

Local Police Officers, Operations department Officers and Specialist officer from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched an investigation.

Police are requesting that any witnesses with any information and or dash camera footage are to please come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene.

The Police Incident Number is 292 dated 05/09/2020.
