Police are investigating a street robbery in Liskeard, Cornwall. The incident took place at around 10am on the 8^th August on Station Road in Liskeard, adjacent to a jewellers called ‘Time and Motion’.

The victim is an 85 year old female who has suffered minor injuries.


A suspect was detained by members of the public prior to police arrival and he remains in custody today, having been arrested on suspicion of robbery.


The police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the attack. In particular the police believe the victim asked for help from a member of the public, prior to the attack. This person stayed with the victim for a short period of time until she felt she was safe. The police are particularly keen to speak with this witness.
