Serious assault in Bideford

A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault on a women at a residential property in Bideford.

Police were called to the property at around 6pm on Wednesday 22 July in the Stucley Road area following reports that a woman had been stabbed.Emergency services attended the scene where the victim, a woman in her 20s, had sustained multiple injuries to her arm and head. The victim has since been discharged from hospital.

Nathan Stewart, aged 31 and from Bideford, has been from charged with GBH with intent, possession of a bladed article and two counts of criminal damage. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 July.
