Police are appealing for witnesses of a robbery in St Austell to come forward– especially two members of the public who helped the victim.

Officers are investigating an incident in Trevail Way, near to the Costcutter store, at around 9.20pm on Wednesday 24 June.

A lone suspect is said to have approached a group of three friends before grabbing one of them, headbutting him, and stealing items from his pockets.

The victim, aged in his late teens, suffered a bloody nose.

The suspect is a white male, around 5ft 10’in in height, of slim build, with dark, brown hair and a slight beard.  He was wearing grey-coloured clothing.
