​Bel Patra, also known as Bilva Patra, is a leaf from the Bel Tree and holds great significance in Hinduism and is offered to the bearer of the trident, Lord Shiva. It symbolizes his three eyes, the three main gods of Hinduism, and the three main gunas of nature. In each Shiva temple, there is a soft rustle of leaves offered with utmost devotion—bel Patra.
