Sandeshkhali case: SC questions Bengal govt's move to challenge HC order directing CBI probe

The Supreme Court on Sunday questioned the West Bengal government's determination to challenge the Calcutta High Court's order for a CBI investigation into claims of land grabbing and sexual assault in Sandeshkhali. It further questioned why the government was interested in safeguarding the guilty and TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh. The matter has been adjourned till July.
