Theresa Mary May is a British politician serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 2016. She was Home Secretary from 2010 to 2016 and Leader of the Conservative Party from 2016 until 2019. May was first elected to be the Member of Parliament (MP) for Maidenhead in 1997. Ideologically, she identifies herself as a one-nation conservative.
