Son of Norway's crown princess charged with rape and abuse
Marius Borg Høiby is charged with 32 offences and could face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
Marius Borg Høiby is a relative of the Norwegian royal family who is indicted on 32 counts of various sex offenses, domestic violence, and other crimes. He is the son of Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway from her previous brief encounter with convicted felon Morten Borg before she married Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway. Høiby is not a royal himself. While his father was still in prison, he received widespread media attention not only as the first stepchild in the history of the Norwegian royal family, but also as a child born into a lower working-class or, according to some, severely disadvantaged underclass background who was raised in proximity to royals. He was widely nicknamed "Little Marius" after a character from the Alexander Kielland novel Poison.
