A limestone quarry in Indonesia’s West Java province collapsed on Friday, killing at least 13 people and injuring a dozen others.
Authorities fear more may still be buried under the rubble.
The rescue mission, involving excavators and volunteers, was halted due to unstable soil and will resume Saturday.
Governor Dedi Mulyadi ordered the permanent closure of this and four similar unsafe mining sites.
This is the quarry’s second collapse this year, highlighting growing concerns over mining safety in the Southeast Asian archipelago.
