An individual was shot by security guards outside the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, around 4 a.m.
On Thursday.
The incident, which was confirmed as non-fatal, prompted the closure of the CIA’s main gate, with staff directed to use alternate routes.
While CIA officials acknowledged a “security incident,” they did not confirm the shooting.
The event followed a deadly shooting near the Israeli Embassy the previous night, although authorities say there is no indication the two are connected.
Federal and local agencies are continuing investigations.
