The Trump administration is preparing to downsize the CIA, NSA, and other intelligence agencies, cutting over 1,200 jobs.
The Washington Post reports hundreds at the CIA have already taken early retirement, with further cuts to come via hiring freezes.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe says the goal is to realign the agency with Trump’s national security vision.
The administration has also scrapped DEI programs, fired top generals, and is shifting intelligence focus toward China and human sources.
Some laid-off employees are challenging terminations in court.
Tulsi Gabbard’s office has not responded to the reports.
