Suzi Finlayson says her life was turned upside down after swimming in polluted sea water left her with a serious infection requiring open heart surgery.
She now lives with a mechanical valve and ongoing health issues.
Her story comes as Surfers Against Sewage report a 30% rise in water pollution incidents over five years.
