News of the lawsuit came on the same day that Lizzo was set to receive an award recognizing her efforts to promote social justice and inclusivity.

Daniels' suit was filed on September 21 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The lawsuit accuses wardrobe manager Amanda Nomura of using stereotypical impressions of Black women and calling performers “fat,” “useless” and “dumb.”.

The lawsuit also claims that Nomura forced performers to change in front of mostly male stage crew members.

According to the suit, Daniels was fired after she complained about Nomura.

Last month, a similar suit was filed, accusing Lizzo of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment
