The story of Mark Kassa's Grandfather David Kassa leaving Iraq and coming to the United States on a 69 Day merchant ship ride during the great depression of 1929 to save his family from being killed - for the same reasons ISIS has murdered many in current times.
He arrived in Ellis Island in NY and found his way to Detroit, MI where the family has lived for three generations.
