Is this Sheriff covering up his daughter's drunk driving? - #HarmonFiles Part 1

Meet Nathan Harmon.

Nathan is the Sheriff of Berkeley County in West Virginia.

He's also the father of Carrie Harmon.

Nathan is a paragon of law and order.

He knows that, without obedience to the law, society will simply crumble.

He believes that he, and his department, are the thin blue line that protects us all from the marauding hordes of lawbreakers, and he takes his job seriously.

Which makes what happened a couple weeks ago all the more curious.

You see, according to residents of Berkeley County, on the night of January 6, 2023, Carrie left the Green Frog Bar in Martinsburg [EDIT: the owner of Green Frog reached out and said that Carrie wasn't at his establishment, and was more likely leaving a bar where her boyfriend had played pool that night].

After driving just a few miles, she lost control of her vehicle for some reason and crashed into the Rosedale Cemetery, totaling her vehicle.

When police arrived, Carrie didn't seem very concerned.

She let them know immediately that Nathan was her father.

Nathan got there, and his first question was...an interesting choice.

He asked, “has she been drinking?” To which the officer on scene replied, “Oh, I can’t tell.” According to the screenshot of a conversation locals say is between Carrie and a friend, she had indeed been drinking, and blew a .16 on her breathalyzer, twice what's considered legally drunk in West Virginia, and more than 3 times the legal limit.

Despite having totaled her vehicle and damaged property, Carrie was let off with...a warning.

Carrie told her friend that Nathan was just protecting her, but her friend believes that he's just protecting his reputation, and that it's dangerous for him to keep covering for Carrie's unsafe and irresponsible behavior.

According to Nathan, he did nothing to interfere with, or direct, the investigation which is odd because the body cam footage shows that Nathan was, in fact, interfering with and directing the investigation.

We have 3 questions for you, Nathan.

1.

When will the full report of this incident be released, including the missing body and dash cam footage, the breathalyzer report, and any other evidence from this incident?

2.

Since this incident involves your daughter, will you request an investigation by state-level authorities into it, with no interference from you?

3.

If the allegations of drunken driving and misconduct prove to be true, when can we expect your resignation?

So folks, if and when we get a response from Nathan, or anything else important happens on this case, we'll make an update video.

In the meantime, what do you think of all this?

Is it a cover-up, or is this all just a big misunderstanding?

Let us know in the comments.

And until next time, love y'all.
