What with his dreadlocks and borrowed blue body, Jake Sully’s whole character, literally his being, is attempting to be a part of another culture to which he really does not belong.
He’s a wannabe.
But then again, he’s made this new life work for him.
It’s a case of assimilation, but in the reverse.
