TRAIN STRIKES PEDESTRIAN, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 01/12/23...

Train Pedestrian Accident, LIVINGSTON, January 12, 2023 - Just minutes after 4 pm on January 12, 2023, a construction contractor (name not yet released) was allegedly resting (sitting) on the railroad tracks in between Polk and West Church, behind a business where he had been working (railroad tracks just south of First State Bank).

A train came and the worker didn't move out of the way in time and was struck by the train.

Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Livingston Police Department (including Chief Matt Parrish), and State Troopers to assist.

The train stopped after the accident.

The worker was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

At time of press (6 pm), the train still stopped and blocking traffic in the courthouse area.
