A damning report today has laid bare how the lives of 45 babies could have been saved if they had been cared for properly.

The inquiry into East Kent NHS Hospitals Trust, has revealed a catalogue of serious failings within maternity and neonatal services spanning over a decade.

Medical experts reviewed hundreds of cases at two hospitals in Margate and Ashford.
