Chalk Mountain was a great OHV experience for us.
We saw numerous mule deer, a variety of colorful flowers, and easy-to-moderate road conditions throughout the trip.
At the summit of Chalk Mountain there are beautiful mountain range views, as well as seeing the Climax Mine and Highway 91 in the valley below.
On a side trail, there is an abandoned cement foundation of sorts that we could not find information about.
Maybe it had been a ski jump platform or ski lift facility?
Nonetheless, it was interesting to explore it.
We had the mountain to ourselves on an August Wednesday afternoon.
